Subway Arabia
The 2025 Social Playbook
A year’s social strategy for Subway Arabia, from a hard look at the competition to a voice, a checklist and a platform plan built to make Subway a cultural force rather than just a meal.

Where it started
Four years in, Subway Arabia had built the buzz: craveable content, trending formats, a voice that stayed consistent everywhere. But the world moves fast. Some platforms thrived while others went quiet, static product posts struggled, and UGC and influencer power were barely tapped. The ask: stop following, start leading.
Sizing up the competition
The playbook opens with an honest audit: Subway’s own channels, then McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Domino’s and Papa John’s, platform by platform. Follower counts, engagement per post, grid aesthetics, best-performing posts of 2024. Then the patterns worth stealing: freshness told creatively, teasers that build hype before a launch, and employees as storytellers.
The shift
One mission: turn Subway into a cultural force, not just a meal but a lifestyle. Four strategic shifts get it there:
- Joining the conversation → shaping culture. Own conversations around sustainability, inclusivity and innovation.
- Playing it safe on digital → making digital the playground. AI, AR and gamification for experiences people can join in.
- Sustainability as a side note → a must-have. Eco-friendly practice, told as a story.
- Food first → more than a meal. A lifestyle partner in fitness, travel and everyday adventures.
How it sounds
Fun, confident, effortlessly cool, like the friend who always has the perfect comeback. Every post follows the Subway formula: the Bread, clear, simple and straight to the point; and the Sauce, the personality, humour and signature twist.
How it runs
Every post has to tick all five F.R.E.S.H boxes: feedback-driven, relevant (Arabic-first, Arab-first), evergreen, sound-first and human-centric. Content sits under three pillars (Captivate, Crave, Connect), and each platform has a job: Instagram is the visual crave hub, TikTok the viral flavour engine, Facebook the community table, YouTube the place to inform and educate. Influencers move from ad-hoc to always-on, and bi-weekly trend checks keep the brand quick enough to hop on what’s rising in the UAE and Saudi.
